Named the Golden Coast collection, these flirty Chooplips dresses inspired by Ghanaian pop culture recently arrived the Asos Greenroom (www.asos.com) and were made in fair collaboration with seamstresses and tailors from SOKO Kenya. They are made of handprinted batik fabrics from Ghana.
Choolips is pioneered by designer Annegret Affolderbach. The brand, which initially began with 3 dresses and 2 prints now boasts several awards such as ‘Global Commercial Dress & Print Design’/Ethical Fashion Forum’ and ‘Barclays Innovative Business of the Year 2008.’ Their collections have been carried by various retailers from Topshop to Asos.
