From what looks like the comfy interior of a basement turned into a fashion studio, the second episode of ‘Making It’ with Emua Fashions is back brought to you by TelAfric TV. This week, Cynthia Kio shows how to make a make-up purse out of a combination of ankara fabric, a black zipper and piece of denim. It’s a fast an easy method. She starts by meshing pieces of the ankara and denim together. Then she cuts them into the desired rectangular shape and size, cutting squares at the corner edges of the fabric on the side which would eventually form the base of the purse. Next follows the sewing of the zipper and she rounds off the finished product with a decorative button-brooch. In the previous episode, Cynthia illustrated steps to creating brooches such as the one used on the purse. If you missed the first episode, you can watch it again.
